Un saludo,
JMB

Yes, Telefonica I+D (I+D = Research and Development) is a company within the Telefonica Group. They have a plan for adopting agile methods and is the biggest company in Spain I have heard using Scrum.

Maybe we could come to an arrangement with you in order to make your wish true. We haven't finished our planification of the Conference, but as soon as I have the dates I can drop you a line and maybe you can make us a visit, present your latest book and taste our wines and food. :-)

Thanks a lot and wish a happy 2010,
JMB

Telefonica is one company I've heard from in Madrid with an interest in Scrum. There were a couple of others but I don't recall company names.

Unfortunately, I don't have any plans to get to Spain right now. I'd love to as I've wanted to visit your country since I was 17. I just haven't made it yet.

Congratulations on a successful Agile Open and good luck with the Conference his spring.

Regards,
Mike

Thank you so much!

As soon the translation is ready, I'll send you the link.

Regarding the increasing of popularity of Scrum in Spain, yes, indeed, recently (in October) we made the first Agile Open in Spain and we easily found more than 150 people who came and we are planning the first Agile Spain Conference for may-june (we don't have an exact date yet).

BTW, is there any people getting in contact with you regarding Scrum. We represent (or try to represent) the agile community in Spain and we are very interested in getting in contact with everyone who wants to do agile seriously.

Finally, do you have any plans to visit Spain? If so, just drop a line (or a twit). :-)

Best Regards and Merry Christmas

Hi Jose--
Yes, translating this would be fine. In mentioning me as the author please include a link back to http://www.mountaingoatsoftware.com by doing something like making my name a link to that. Thank you.

And best wishes with the success of Agile Spain. From what I can tell, Scrum is starting to get much more popular there, which is wonderful.

Regards,
Mike

Dear Mr Cohn,

I am a member of Agile Spain, the non-profit organization representing the spanish agile community. And I am writing to ask for your permission to translate your recent blog "Four Types of Resistors When Adopting Agile". We have also translated another blog post of Mr Robert C. Martin "What's all this nonsense about Katas?" and we would be very proud if you give us permission to translate your article so we can publish it in our portal www.agile-spain.com. Of course, we would mention your authorship.

Waiting to hear from you very soon,

A ver, a ver, que ni le he dicho que se venga ni nada. Simplemente lo he tanteado.
