Fan engagement and fan experiences are a major focus for ATEME (Booth W1517) at NAB 2023. For the latter, the French company is partnering with Six Floor Solutions and Pushologies to deliver an automated end-to-end solution that enables sports-content rightsholders and streamers to send sports fans alerts via a mobile app that then directs them to video clips and e-commerce offerings. Features include AI detection of content, creation of event triggers, content clipping, content assembly, and content delivery. For fan engagement, the company is showcasing its Virtual Lounge, which converges traditional television and gaming and enables viewers to project their avatars in a shared viewing experience akin to a sports bar. Within the virtual-reality environment, the same live sports production can be viewed from different angles, all in sync. ATEME is seeking proof-of-concept partners for the Virtual Lounge and also for an augmented-reality application using connected glasses.
It supports NTSC and PAL standards. Other features include network-style, live, virtual sets and specialized tools for high-end post-production work. It offers (24) inputs with hundreds of real-time transitions and 3D DVEs. The solution also includes a character generator, a 2D video paint and animation system, real-time keying, and a digital disk recorder for integration of captured video clips.
The TriCaster Mini from NewTek is a compact, all-in-one multimedia solution that allows you to simultaneously broadcast, stream, and record live productions from virtually anywhere. The switcher makes it easy to switch between up to eight IP NDI video sources, mix audio, add graphics and titles, and add advanced effects like virtual sets and animated transitions.
With the combination of two DDRs as well as two network inputs, titling, and stills, the TCXD850X is capable of mixing 22 video inputs, including eight virtual inputs that are part of the virtual sets NewTek provides.
NewTek, part of the Vizrt Group, has recently launched the TriCaster 1 Pro. The streamlined live video production system support for 4K UHD switching, live streaming, recording, data-driven graphics, virtual sets or media publishing, as part of its main characteristics. Also, NewTek has announced new features for the TriCaster 2 Elite.

The first one is our new AI Keyer for the Viz Arena product. This is something we have worked on for quite a while in our development teams, to be able to have a more adaptable keyer for different conditions for live sports. Viz Arena covers any live enhancements you want to do for live sports such as virtual graphics on the field itself or AR graphics you are using to tell the story during the production or to provide stats on the field.
