December CI Events: Check out our new CI Class & Jam combo!

Hey Contacters,

We are trying out a new class & jam combo on Sundays this month! 

Come for the class taught by Tamar Gutherz and then stay to jam with our community. :)

NEW CI Class & Jam Combo - Details Below

Sunday 12/7: CI Class & Jam Combo 3-6pm at Headlong/Mascher Space (mask optional)

• 3-4:30pm Class: Taught by Tamar Gutherz
• 4:30-6pm Jam: Facilitated by Derek Freeh and Liam Schaffer
• $10-25 sliding scale ($15 suggested), cash or Venmo. Pre-registration not required.
• Studio is located at 1170 S. Broad St. Please ring the "Rear Studio" buzzer to be let into the building! 

Tamar Gutherz is originally from Lynchburg, VA and has a BFA in Modern Dance Performance from University of the Arts.  She currently teaches Gyrokinesis, Modern Dance and Contact Improvisation and works as a freelance performance artist in the Philadelphia area. 

December Events:

• Classes:  Thursdays Dec. 11 &18 from 6:30-8:30pm at Headlong/Mascher Space (Teacher: Tamar Gutherz)
• Class & Jam Combos:  Sundays Dec. 7 &14 from 3-6pm at Headlong/Mascher Space

Masking: None of our events this month are mask-required. We are in discussion about future masking policy.

Other Upcoming CI Events:

• The Underscore will be hosted by Loren Groenendaal on Saturday December 6th, 4-6pm at Headlong/Mascher Space. This is a very fun and rewarding focused jam which has a bit more structure than a regular jam. If you have not participated in an Underscore before it usually requires a talk through to understand the structure ahead of time. Unfortunately, Tamar is unable to teach class this Sunday from 3-4:30pm as previously planned.

Instead, Liam & Derek will be offering a screening and discussion of a few historical contact peformances from 3-4pm and then there will be a CI jam from 4-6pm like usual.
