Hello Philly CI dancers!

Many of you on this email list teach movement, so I'm writing to let you know that I'm offering supervision sessions for bodyworkers, somatics practitioners, and movement educators around any of these topics:
  • professional development
  • communicating with the public about your work
  • building a referral network
  • embodied anatomy
  • hands-on techniques
  • session/class planning
  • addressing challenging injuries and conditions
  • the skills and dynamics of the therapeutic or educational relationship
  • ethics and boundaries
  • musculo-skeletal alignment for bodyworkers
  • voice and breath work for educators
  • personal care for longevity
  • identifying continuing education opportunities to support your goals
  • weaving social change principles into embodied work
I've created this new offering because this year I'll be celebrating the 20th anniversary of my therapeutic bodywork practice! During these past two decades I've developed novel techniques that address soft tissue adhesions and joint imbalances. I also work with the nervous system, craniosacral mechanism, and viscera to facilitate lasting changes in people's posture and movement. Additionally, I've been teaching for these past two decades during which I've developed a singular approach to interdisciplinary somatics. I've created new practices around embodied embryology from a non-binary perspective, neuroqueer embodiment, consent culture in contact improvisation, and engaging with scar tissue through a disability justice lens.

After so many years of practice, it's particularly fulfilling and meaningful for me to pass on some of my knowledge to other practitioners. I'm available to supervise fellow embodiment practitioners who are just starting out, those looking to expand their toolkit, or anyone in need of support addressing intractable injuries or interpersonal issues with students and clients.

Please let me know if you would like more information, and I look forward to dancing with some of you tonight at Cardell Dance Studio :)

Warmly,
-Nicole
