Share your feedback on the Generalist Repository Selection Flowchart

November 13, 2024, 2pm ET

Join us on November 13th, at 2pm ET for 45 minutes to share your thoughts on the NIH Generalist Repository Selection Flowchart, a tool designed to provide clear guidance in self-service or consultation-based situations, to choose the most suitable repository for a data package.

This call is hosted by the NIH Generalist Repository Ecosystem Initiative (GREI) (Dataverse, Dryad, Figshare, Mendeley Data, Open Science Framework, Vivli, and Zenodo) community feedback group. We will solicit your opinions through open dialog, chat or Q&A, and interactive polls on the repository selection flowchart, including:

• its clarity, usefulness, and usability
• efficiency and crucial decision points
• potential areas for improvement

We look forward to your unique perspectives and valuable insights. Your feedback will be integral to refining the flowchart, enhancing its usability, and effectiveness. Please register for the session on Zoom.

• November 12-14, 2024 - RDA 23rd Plenary Meeting – San José, Costa Rica (Hybrid) The Research Data Alliance’s 23rd Plenary Meeting is taking place in San José, Costa Rica and online on 12-14 November 2024. With the theme ‘Sustainable Science’, the 23rd Plenary edition will be held in a hybrid format. GREI has organized a Birds of a Feather session, “The Role of generalist repositories in the research data landscape,” scheduled for Thursday, November 13 at 10:00 - 11:30 CST | 16:00 - 17:30 UTC. 
• November 21, 2024 - Medical Institutional Repositories in Libraries (MIRL) Symposium The MIRL Symposium focuses on Institutional Repository (IR) management, curation, and promotion in a health sciences environment. GREI will be providing a recorded presentation focusing on GREI-developed resources for selecting and using generalist repositories.
  
• Find the slides and recording from our October 29th webinar, The hows and whys of sharing data in generalist repositories, in the GREI Zenodo Community.  This webinar provided an overview of the GREI repositories and guidance on best practices for sharing and discovering data in them.
