formanual transmission, they say its 2ltr.i recently got 2ltrs in my transmission but some of it overflows out of the transmission.i think its 1.8ltrs or so.but since packing comes in 1 ltr onnly, u ll have to buy 2 lts pack n let any excess oil flow out of the oil pan.

drain interval for manual and auto both is 40,000kms.manuals can easily do more then that without a problem, autos would hardly reach 40,000kms without noticable jerks.thats why i recommend tranny oil drain for varios at 35,000kms max.sometimes even at 30,000.

and i didnt understand what u mean by specific type? i use and recommend original honda MTF for my car.one can save 60% cost by putting in the good quality zic oil too (800rs against 1980rs) but for varios, Only and only honda oil wud do.

Types

Synchromax is a synthetic manual transmission fluid formulated for vehicles that specify the use of an automatic transmission fluid, such as some BMWs, Bert & Brinns, Fords, and GM models. SAE 30, SAE 10W40, and SAE 10W30 are motor oils that are used for manual transmissions, such as some Jeeps, BMWs and GM Corvettes. XPR 5W30 and XPR 10W40 are racing oils designed for high-performance vehicles, such as Hondas, Jeeps, Acuras and some GM models.

I need user manual for honda city 2005 and you mentioned that you have one. How can you provide me the manual? If its soft copy then great but if its hard copy then i would need to get it photocopied. Waiting for your helpful response...
