Kona Bay Fabrics is known for their wide selection of Japanese-themed fabrics, and two prints from Hana Bashi, the lastest collection from designer Nobu Fujiyama, are now in stock, ready for your spring projects. The colors are a bit darker than they appear on the images, and the metallic gold details are far nicer than they appear in a flat image. The blue swirls and waves will look gorgeous in summer projects, and the chrysanthemums will look great for autumn. The cool blues round out an elegant winter look, making this a four-season fabric.
I find the swirls especially appealing as they lend a feeling of movement. Rippling water with tiny chrysanthemums and leaves dance across sun-splashed tones of blue or teal. You can click on the images to see them in my shop.
Practical and multi-tasking - poufs from the Hana collection combine the functionality of a comfortable seat and a decorative element. Visually consistent with the phone booth we offer, they can be used as a piece of furniture accompanying it in communication routes and offices. They also work as equipment for informal public areas and workspaces regardless of going for single or several booths. The collection consists of: poufs in two sizes, which are excellent as a seat or table, and a large pouf with a pot. The entire Hana collection is available in a wide range of colours.

What are these? In simple words - in each of these scenario garbage collection cleans up the expired data or areas depending on what it is related to. If it is cleaning up no longer required consistent read version of data for a row store or column store table then it is Row store version or column store version garbage collector. If it is cleaning the memory area and reclaiming the memory then it is memory garbage collection. If it is cleaning the persistence area then it is persistence garbage collection. Similarly garbage collection for disk LOBs are required to release no longer required disk space.
So if garbage collection does not happen as it should be it will impact system performance. If the garbage collection for row store or column store versions do not run, it in turn causes higher response time as it slows down the system or specific transactions/reports. If memory garbage collection does not run, then the system does not able to reclaim memory when it needs etc.
row store version garbage collection and persistence garbage collection triggers after every commit and also as per the gc_interval parameter column store version garbage collection triggers during delta merges and compression optimisation memory garbage collection triggers in case of memory utilisation reaches global allocation limit or as per the gc relate Hana parameters like gc_unused_memory_threshold_abs, gc_unused_memory_threshold_rel etc. LOB garbage collection is triggered when the oldest version is no more referenced and configured parameters like garbage_collect_interval_s
In general, long running statement, threads or transactions are the main reason for garbage collection block. However, a known bug or high DML activities, frequent commits, internal locks etc. can be the other reasons. In general, a garbage collection blocked for more than 5-6 hours can cause system slowness.
A generic situation is frequent MVCC alerts for high active versions. This generally happens when the garbage collection has been delayed and the obsolete versions of data records not been removed; could be because some other transaction is blocking the garbage collection. This can cause huge number of active versions, OOM issue, or system wide slowness.
In such case the transaction which is blocking needs to be identified and killed. In case the transaction type is an user transaction, then the connection ID can be used to disconnect the connection and if the transaction type is an external transaction then the connection ID appears as -1 and the parent transaction needs to be found and killed.
MVCC Blocker Statement helps finding out the statement that is blocking version garbage collection. If it is a global garbage collection blocker and idle time is greater than 1 hour, then it is suggested to further analyse the statement and accordingly take required action like disconnecting the connection. If it is a Table level garbage collection, idle time is greater than 1 hour and version_count is greater than 1 million (10,00,000), then it can impact the table update performance.
Ready to dazzle? Shop the Hana pattern collection, our favorite take on the iconic wrap dress. We reimagined it in pure woven linen with beautifully tailored details. A feminine V-neckline is complemented with a crisp, open shirt collar and stand. The contoured waistband has a playful exposed drawstring and belt loops. The flattering, wrap-front, A-line silhouette includes inseam pockets, waist pleating and cuffed dolman sleeves. Make it yours with the any of the four variations: a dress in two lengths, a top, or even a skirt.
Sorry our patterns are not interchangeable in thier individual parts. You may like to use the tutorial as a guide for drafting a notched collar especially for the pattern you want to use, since borrowing one from another pattern may not fit correctly
We have used our medium weight linens (IL019) for the blouse and skirts in this pattern. You can also use the lightweight handkerchief linen (IL020) for the blouse and dress if you would prefer something a little more airy.
Hello, Our Patterns are designed for misses sizes, so you will require some adjustments for your height. We don't include specific petite adjustments since these can vary widely between people who are petite. Hello, The estimated yardage for all sizes and views is located in the size guide. For a size 14 Hana Dress with short sleeves you will need 3 and 1/4 yards, for the long sleeve version you will need 3 and 3/4 yards. If using our linen, please add any shrinkage for your chosen fabric to these suggested yardages.
So far, my experience with the Hana dress pattern is this. I'm disappointed with #1 the sizing chart does not include from back neck to waist measurement, and even if it did there's no marking on the pattern where the waist is., which for people who are short waisted This would be very helpful in adjusting the waist line on this dress if need be. Also, there is no marking on the pattern where the waist hits or a shorten or lengthen line If you needed to do that. The response has been very slow getting help with this pattern and i do not want to make a Muslin to see how it fits, however it's probably going to be necessary. I have not cut it out yet because I've been trying to figure it out myself and using the sizing chart with body measurements and finished garment measurements. Having said all this I love the look of this dress on the model that's slender and I'm hoping i love it once it's finished and I get to try it on. I have been sewing pretty much all my life but it's been awhile since I've made any clothing for myself, several years and my body is changed and I'm sz12 I at 68 now. When you read on this website how they will help you to size a pattern to fit you I really took that at face value and I'm not getting the help so far that I need to get this figured out.. Also, does anyone have any ideas about how to make the pattern stay flat on the table since it's been rolled up?
