Dear Bejon,

I am sending another case. Here it is about airtel floated the scheme of free air tickets. Those who qualified should get the tickets automatically. Even after writing to airtel they are not giving the air tickets and writing that the case is closed.

We need to highlight such cases also as how these high flying companies are cheating the consumers.

Dear Alka JI,

The activation and action to be taken - is it not automatic? Do the consumer has to lick the toes of the company management to ask what is due to him?

At least which you say are eligible, they should have been sent the next communication what ever it was.

Please inform what action you propose to take now in the matter.

Numebrs which are not eligible because they did not meet the eligibility criteria as there was

Airtel Customer Corporate Management, Bharti Tele-Venture Ltd., Delhi. Re: Our Complaint No.8840397 dated 28.06.2006. Please recall that there was a scheme announced by Airtel that if one opts for a particular plan with a minimum amount of Rs.349.00 monthly payout and if one pays these bills in time for a regular period of three months, he becomes entitled to a 'free flight ticket' for a pre-decided destination. While on the subject, please note that there was an enrollment fee for the above mentioned plan which was to be paid in the initial stage itself. Please note that we at BOTIL OIL TOOLS INDIA PVT LTD. had opted for a plan for over 14 connections and fuilfilled all the following conditions: - paid an amount of Rs.599 each for 14 connections - Opted for Airtel Roaming 349 Plan - Paid our Bills for the 14 connections in time The activation of the 'Free Flight Offer' was confirmed by Airtel vide its e-mail of 11th February, 2006 (copy attached). After that communication, Airtel has not sent any voucher or any communication to us despite our repeated reminders on 18th July and 1st August. We also registered a complaint with 121 Airtel for which a number was also allotted, i.e. No.8840397 of 28th June, 2006.
