problem: I booked a hotel through priceline last july in Chicago for my
husband's 40th birthday. When we got to our hotel, they were over booked
and bumped us to their other property and refunded us for that nights stay.
The next morning, we found out that the credit card that we used to book
that hotel was fraudulently used. I spent the next 2-3 hours on the phone
with the bank and the retail places regarding the charges. The card was
canceled. I then called priceline to make sure that we still would receive
our refund, despite the card used having been canceled. I was told that
when it went to be refunded and it would not "accept" it, then priceline
would contact me and I would be refunded via a different card. Since July
2011, I have been trying to get that refund. I was told today that due to
security reasons they could not refund it to another card. I spoke with
several different people, asking to speak with their supervisor (I was told
that they do not have a supervisor, that I could talk to someone in public
relations. No supervisor....BS Everyone has someone to answer to). Still
waiting on my refund.
