I'll share my Enterprise Rent-A-Car story and see how long before it's removed, rebutted or hopefully resolved in favor of the customer for once. My car was damaged by a driver who was insured by Allstate. I called Allstate and put in a claim. They confirmed with their insured and had me setup to take my car in for repair. They also setup an Enterprise rental confirmation number. I took my car in and got my rental car. No one (Allstate or Enterprise) informed me of any limitations for the rental. Due to delays in Allstate getting a claims adjuster out to my dealer to approve repairs, my car was in the shop over a month. I was advised by Enterprise 6 weeks into the rental, that Allstate was refusing to pay the rental fee beyond 2 weeks. Enterprise told me that I'd be responsible for the remaining 4 weeks. I was never told there was any limits until now. Obviously, if I knew there was a 2 week limit, i'd have turned in the car after 2 weeks and made other arrangements. Because Enterprise & Allstate (2 multibillion dollar companies) do not have documented policy for rental limitations, Enterprise wants to stick me with the bill. I'd like Enterprise to contact me and help me understand why their inability to advise me of this when I rented the car (not the 'your responsible for all charges' in their standard service contract). You can contact me here so that all consumers can benefit from your explanation. Oh by the way, I'll never buy insurance from ALLSTATE INSURANCE ever! The phone service was responsive on my claim (even though they were not my insurance company) but to not tell me they were not going to pay beyond a certain timeframe has forced ENTERPRISE to try and get the money from me. I'm waiting to hear from ENTERPRISE. If this post is removed, there are several consumer oriented outlets I will post the result of this story.
