Hello students!
I have uploaded an article on 'Market segmentation' from HBR. Please
refer to the article and answer the following questions. These you
have to submit to me, in hard copy, on June 5th in the class OR in
soft copy, before June 5th 2010.
1. The article states that 'traditional demographic traits such as
age, sex, education levels, and income no longer said enough to serve
as a basis for marketing strategy'. Do you agree or disagree? Do you
think this applies to our local market also? Explain briefly with
examples.
2. This article talks about VALS program. What is this program? Do you
think the classification of individuals done through VALS is also
applicable to our market and our local consumer? Please explain
briefly.
Try and not waste paper. Do appropriate research and support your
answers with relevant examples.
There will be no quiz in the next class on this article.
