The Batch candidate should have the following skill sets:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Hands on experience running batch jobs

- Experience running batch jobs through a job scheduler (ex. Autosys)

- Experience performing batch validation that include batch file verification, XML

- Experience performing database validation

- Able to write SQL queries that join multiple tables

- Basic UNIX command knowledge

Preferred Skill

- Experience performing both Batch and UI testing

- Bill Pay or banking experience

- can multitask while working on multiple projects

 

The batch experience client is looking for is somebody who has executed batch job (Java framework vs. mainframe) and performed batch validations (flat files, XML, table validations, and etc). 

 

Bill Pay is Java based, the Batch Framework and User Interface.  The database is Oracle 10g and job schedule is Autosys.  There's plan for multiple infrastructure and scalability projects but nothing is set in stone yet. 

 

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 6 months
