Hi to all,

just thought I would make contact on the assumption that many people
are returned from the 'thesis travel' and will be around Ktown for the
next few weeks. I think it is time to re-convene the consulting club
and thought that a session on Tuesday 13th May might be a good idea.
We could get together in the Learning Lab at 4.00pm and we could talk
about the topic of Proposals or Tenders - how to find out about them,
what is involved in responding to them and we could perhaps do a
'mock' application over the following week in groups of three.

let me know if this time date clashes with another meeting,

Hi Victor

 

We are on the way back from our trip to the Netherlands, which is been great for us. But getting delayed by all the changes to train systems on Easter Monday.

 

Great to be having some more sessions with the club.

 

I learnt about a really nice consulting methodology while i was in Cape Town, developed by a man called Peter Block (he also wrote a book call Flawless Consulting, which is highly rated by some friends of mine working in consulting in SA).

 

I would like to offer to share it with the class. I will do a type up summary of that, and if it needs an explanation, i could offer to briefly go through it with everyone in one of the next club sessions.

Hi Sonja,

 

Glad to hear that your trip to Amsterdam has been a success and the thesis is going well.

 

As for the consulting club, of course, the floor is open to any inputs from the class so let’s plan to get you talking, I am aware of Peter Block and have read his book. We are planning to speak about tenders/proposals nex Tuesday and I thought the following class would be on groups submitting their responses to a tender/proposal that we would write and to have that on the following week but on the Thursday after the presentations -22^nd April. We could change that and have your session with other topics on that Thursday and leave the responses for another week.

 

Let me know if that might suit you.
