Enabling HTTP basic authentication in a cluster

It looks like consul supports HTTP basic authentication. But I couldn't find any documentation on how to enable basic authentication. The command/agent/config.go too didn't have any configuration option on setting this up.

Pretty sure I am missing something obvious. Can someone point me in the correct direction please?

Hi Anoop,

I don't think Consul has built-in support for HTTP basic auth - folks have proxied it to add that. Tools like consul-template support basic auth so it can be a little confusing.
