Hikvisioncamera software have been written to suit Windows environment .If you want to run those software on Ubuntu ,you have to first install Wine .But Wine is not included in the Ubuntu Software center in Ubuntu 18.04.The Synaptic Package Manager is useful in installing most of the software that has not been included in the Ubuntu software center.

Its working for DVR devices. But if you are using NVR having some problems.

ivms imports all cams but all cams but all show same camera. for eample on my system its imported 15 cam. When i click on any cam it shows camera7. i dunno why

Some times the key provided by Hikvision support center may not work. .If you can find the default password of the camera or the dvr you better reset the camera and use the default username and the password. on SADP tools or ivms4200. Then you can change the password as your wish. Please send me the model and details of the camera to see whether i can find the default password .

BKJayasundera ilginiz iin teşekkr ederim. Benim problemim ubuntu 64bit kullanıyorum , ivms4200 kurulumu sizin anlattığınız şekilde olmuyor. eğer msait olursanız size team viewer veya anydesk ile benim pc me bağlanmanızı sağlayabilirim.

Before installng sadp you better install wine tricks on ubuntu. Then using wine tricks install sadp (using uninstall in the menu in wine tricks). The only sadp version in the link provided in my blog can be successfully installed on ubuntu.

Please try and see whether the camera can be viewd using hik-connect app on a smart phone. Did you install Wine on linux ? Please download ivms4200 for linux software using the link given in my blog post .

I downloaded ivms4200 for linux in Raspbian 10 32 bits (fork from Ubuntu Bionic 18.04, for running in a arm processor with 1 GB RAM), extracting as usual but when I click to run, it just show me a window asking if I want to execute or execute in terminal, and I choose any of that way of executing it just run but nothing happens.

Ivms 4200 linux can be run only when wine is installed . But installing wine on raspbian seems to be difficult. If you use ubuntu instead of raspbian on pi , you can install wine easly . I will try to use ivms docker on raspbian and let you know

I was able to install SADP and IVMs 4200 on Ubuntu 18.04, camera is detected but, live video feed is not coming. please let me any additional installation for ubuntu like local service componen.exe file.

I wanted to develop GUI using HIKVision SDK in ubuntu with QT tool, I have tested example code (client demo code provided with HIKVision SDK). In that also camera is detected but, live video is falling. I needed to known any update or plugin must be installed in ubuntu to see live video.
