I am using SocketInitiator in quickfixj to create FIX connection and send FIX messages to a third party. Session reset happens at midnight everyday. My query is if during a day if sequence goes out of synch (due to some network or hardware failure), I will start receiving sequence reset and resend requests (35=2, 35=4). Should I handle these 2 types of messages in the code and do something to reset the sequence or to start sending old messages. Or is it automatically handled in quick fix. Please provide some guidance on this.

This message has been driving me crazy! It seems to be, from minimal testing, occurring when we send an email to a particular domain (which we have had some problems with in the past, but I cannot remember how we resolved it) external to our domain here. It seems we can send to other external domains no problem.

Thanks. I have checked with other email accounts and they work. After working with Northrup Grumman (who has the Virginia contract for IT) they think they have resolved it to be that we somehow got a bad SenderBase reputation. I have just resent an email and it looks like it went through. It's always lovely to try to fix email problems when they are not on your side! Although, I must say that the service the NG guy has been giving has actually been great - much better than expected.

We have several requested approvals that were not answered for several weeks. When trying to resend the email, for the approvers to approve via email, I've noticed that the originating event is empty. I believe this is because the events are being automatically deleted after some time.

However, I guess it is because of this, that after using the UI Action "resend" the email record is updated to type=send-ready and mailbox=outbox. And the notification is not processed, hence it is not being resent.

The explanation is as follows in the email records the event is missing so despite using the resend button / or changing the type to send-ready and make the mailbox the outbox. It will not send! Why....because this a notification, that is triggered based on the event, Approval.Inserted. so you have to explicitly add this event to the queue for it trigger the same email again. This means you cannot just resend from the email you have to write your own methods to re-trigger the email that you want by triggering the event.

To quote DaSmith9 from the other thread "To re-trigger the event you need to create a scheduled job. A scheduled script job that queries against the sysapproval_approvers table for your desired conditions (aging, task type, etc) and re-fires or fires a new event referencing the approval record. The new event then triggers the approval notification, just like it did when it was originally sent."

No.. I haven't found a way to resend the emails after the notification engine event has been deleted. I haven't tried anything such as creating the event again somehow for that notification. But as for an OOO solution I believe it is not possible to resend emails after this event has been deleted.

Regarding the "pickup resend notification", in my interface (in order timeline) there is such a button but it is "grayed out", not functioning. Is it something wrong with me or is this function still unimplemented by the Shopify engine? (It's been 2+years since this comment has been written).

This really needs to be integrated into this. There is no point in resending the order confirmation which is allowed. the pick up notification is more important, especially if there are changes to the pick up information. We then have to manually email each customer the new pick up details. VERY frustrating when this should streamline the ordering and pick up methods.

Would be great if this was implemented. I see its been almost a year since this has been recommended and I still don't see a fix. Please help us out and save us time by having a resend email/text option.

Are you also not receiving all emails for this form approval step or is it just occasional ones? If it's all of time, you may want to try removing the form approval flow item and recreating it to see if that resolves the issue.

I found a workaround to send reminder emails with the 3a link for the submission pending in approval flow but it didn't send me a reminder to fill out the form as I set. If it sends a reminder it will solve our issue.

I'm really sorry that this is happening. I've cleared your forms cache, which can sometimes resolve minor issues. Could you please try to monitor it again or run a test submission and let us know how it goes? If you run into the same problem again, let us know and we'll do some more testing to see what's going on.

And we also need a "resend form" button in the approval flow if this issue occurs. I know it's not in priority for you to develop, but it's pretty important for the success of the approval flow. People at work are questioning the effectiveness of jotform because of such technical issues.

I was also having this issue with two items. I tried the suggestion from @RebeccaL with restoring the items in the online vault in the browser, and then deleted the items from the desktop app, which seems to have solved the issue for me as well at the moment.
