Paid Holiday on polling day ( 23.04.09 B’lore )

 in the organizations as per Karnataka Shops & Establishments act.

And as per National holidays & festivals act.

Since Member of Parliament elections are scheduled in our state.

(23th April at Bangalore and other then Bangalore on 30^th April 09).

As per the Election Commission guidelines and the Representation of People Act,

We have to declare a holiday on the date of polling to enable employees to go and cast their vote.

It will have to be a paid holiday and will not be compensated with another day
