Position: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Lead Developer
Location: New York, NY (Midtown Manhattan)
Contract: 6-12 month + contract opportunity

Job Description:
As an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Lead Developer you will join a top publishing company in Midtown Manhattan, NY to support the implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as their new CMS. You will design and develop AEM site architecture, custom components, custom workflows, Digital Asset Management customization, object model designs (Java APIs), implementation strategy, unit testing and deployment.
As an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Lead Developer you will join a top publishing company in Midtown Manhattan, NY to support the implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as their new CMS. You will design and develop AEM site architecture, custom components, custom workflows, Digital Asset Management customization, object model designs (Java APIs), implementation strategy, unit testing and deployment.
Responsibilities:
Translating business requirements into technical details relevant to AEM
Resolving functional and technical issues relating to AEM implementation
Providing technical leadership on complex projects that require eCommerce campaign, targeting and social components within the AEM platform
Creating technical documentation as part of deliverables
Design and develop architectural solutions and documents current systems to support the transition to AEM
Ensures and drives success of enterprise AEM integration and supports the integration of upstream and downstream legacy systems
Provides recommendations of solutions to solve problems including system capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results
Coordinates efforts with third-party relationship and outsourced teams
Enforce application development standards and best practices
Adhere to the agile methodologies Software Development Life Cycle
Identify and provide recommendations for system process improvements

Requirements:
2+ years of experience in developing/implementing AEM including hands on experience developing templates, components, OSCi services and integrations
5+ years of Java web development experience
2+ years of experience with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, Backbone.js, angular.js or other MVC frameworks
Experience using and developing RESTful services
Solid understanding of SQL/relational database concepts
Familiarity with HTML/CSS markup and dynamic markup (jsp, asp, php)
2+ years of experience in developing/implementing AEM including hands on experience developing templates, components, OSCi services and integrations
