Congratulations to those whose papers were accepted for CP, CPAIOR and IJCAI-ECAI. I encourage you to consider submitting a journal version to the Constraints journal. You may already be close to having a journal version. Perhaps you had to cut material to fit the conference page limits. Perhaps you have new work that wasn’t completed in time to make it into the conference paper.
And for those whose papers were not accepted to a conference, you might not be as close to a journal submission, but the Constraints journal can provide you with a “second chance” when you are ready.
In preparing for the upcoming Anniversary Special Issue of the journal I found that on average there was a paper with 50 or more Google Scholar citations in every issue of the Constraints journal. Your submission could be one of those.
In addition to the Anniversary Special Issue there will be an Anniversary Panel at CP 2026 this summer.
And for the fun of it I asked GPT-5.1 to respond to the following prompt: 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the Constraints journal. Write a paper celebrating this anniversary. I'm attaching the result. Of course, the usual caveats about Chatbots apply, and I suppose the prompt was biased, but I enjoyed reading the result. :-)
