At TU Delft, we have a PhD vacancy on combinatorial optimisation, in particular scheduling and constraint programming. The goal is to develop novel algorithms, and apply them to solve optimisation problems arising in the quantum domain.

We are looking for a motivated individual with strong algorithmic background, knowledge in the quantum domain is a plus but not necessary.

The candidate will join the team of Dr Emir Demirović (TU Delft), consisting of four PhD students working in the area of combinatorial optimisation. The team is part of the Algorithms group, which hosts seven full-time professors, two part-time professors, over 20 PhD students, and two postdocs. The project will be done in close collaboration with Dr Menno Veldhorst and his team at QuTech.

Deadline for applying is March 5. Please see the official ad for more details and application procedure: https://www.tudelft.nl/over-tu-delft/werken-bij-tu-delft/vacatures/details?jobId=10693&jobTitle=PhD%20position%20in%20Combinatorial%20Optimisation%20for%20Quantum%20Computing

Best,
Emir
