PhD positions in deep learning for planning and scheduling

Two fully funded PhD positions are available at the ANITI institute, Federal University of Toulouse, France.

The positions, funded by the European Project TUPLES, are in the area of deep learning for automated planning and scheduling, including:
- hybrid (neuro-symbolic) methods for planning and scheduling
- explanation and verification of plans, policies, and schedules

I am looking for a postdoctoral researcher at the Australian National University, to work on the following topics:
1. learning of neuro-symbolic models for planning and acting, from video and text data
2. representation and learning of generalised policies and heuristic cost estimators

The position is funded by the Australian Research Council via the project "Automated Planning: The Next Generation".

Duration: 2.5 years (a priori -- this may be negotiable)
Level B salary: AUD $107,475- $121,857 plus 17% Superannuation
