Dear All,

At UCC there are three permanent academic vacancies in Computer Science at University College Cork: 2 x lectureships and 1 x senior lectureship. The closing date for these is noon (local time) on September 15th.

We would hope that people who are success would be interesting in joining our research group also.

UCC is now moving to recruit the second phase of the UCC Futures programme – SUSTAINABILITY. Designed to make a significant contribution to the defining global challenge of our time, this recruitment will drive a creative, inclusive, interdisciplinary approach to sustainability research, providing transformative leadership that further enhances UCC’s reputation for outstanding research and research-informed teaching in this important area.

Applications are sought for 27 positions in the area of Sustainability. The appointment of researchers of excellence, from Lecturer to Professor (Scale 2), will connect disciplines and research strengths across the University, mapping to existing research strengths within the College of Business and Law and the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science.

• Lecturer in Sustainable Agriculture
• FBD Lecturer in Agricultural Science – Soil Science
• Lecturers in Sustainable Materials
• Lecturers in Actuarial Science
• Lecturer in Applied Mathematics
• Lecturer in Computer Science
• Lecturer in Human Computer Interaction
• AIB Lecturer in Responsible Leadership
• Lecturer in Sustainable Development
• Lecturer in Sustainable Food Production Systems

The successful applicants will be expected to contribute to teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful applicants will be supported in embedding and enhancing their research activities, with a particular focus on the acquisition of funding through the European Research Council programme.
