I am trying to localize Constellio into Arabic, and it seems I am
facing some possible encoding issues.

I have done the following:
1) added ar to supportedLanguages in constellio.xml
2) Created a new file SearchResultsPage_ar.properties and copied the
sections from SearchResultsPage_en.properties
3) localized the SearchResultsPage_ar.properties file into Arabic
4) Restarted Constellio

The problem I am facing is that instead of displaying Arabic
characters it is displaying rubbish such as حميع

Anyone have any ideas.

Also, I would like to contribute to the localization to Arabic if
there is an intrest.

Regards,
Kais

@Denys
Many Thanks I solved the problem by using Attesoro (translation
editor) http://attesoro.org/

@Rida
I have started transltating and will post the _ar.properties as soon
as I finish them. Any other files needed to be translated?

I am planning to write a wiki page about localization in Constellio
ASAP.

Best regards,
Kais

Hi Kais/Rida,

   I'm planing to create a PT_BR language too. I suggest the use of  http://crowdin.net,  a free [for open source] web tool to manage translation projects.

Will be very interesting if Rida (from doculibre.com) create the constellio project in crowdin. So, all constellio languages translation project's can be managed centrally.

What does you think?

Thanks

It is a straight forward easy to use editor.

I am planning to write a wiki page on translating Constellio soon.

Thanks Rida,

    @kays, now you can upload your translation in the crowdin. And like Alfresco, Doculibre can future more use these projects to add more languages to Constellio.

@Denys

I logged in http://crowdin.net, the project does not yet have any text
to translate. Who should upload them?
Me, you or Rida

you need to administrator access to your language. Rida is owner of project, she may be help you.

Unfortunatelly I did not started translate process yet. I'm still working to finalize Alfresco translation and after that I will start Constellio.
