This on-campus apartment option is available to upper class and graduate students and is located on Fell Avenue and School Street. These apartments provide an affordable housing option at a convenient location on campus.

These guiding principles are intended to support the development of a positive mentoring relationship between the pre-doctoral student and their research advisors. A successful student-mentor relationship requires commitment from the student, mentor, graduate program, and institution. This document offers a set of broad guidelines which are meant to initiate discussions at the local and national levels about the student-mentor relationship.

The Compact was prepared in collaboration with the AAMC Group on Graduate Research, Education, and Training (GREAT) and the AAMC Council of Faculty and Academic Societies (CFAS). The first version of the Compact was disseminated in 2008. It is modeled on the AAMC Compact Between Postdoctoral Appointees and Their Mentors. In 2016, a team consisting of representatives from the AAMC Group on Graduate Research, Education, and Training (GREAT Group) and AAMC Council of Faculty and Academic Societies (CFAS) reviewed and updated the document. Input on the revised draft was received from the GREAT Group, CFAS, and AAMC staff leadership. We encourage members of the graduate education community to utilize and share this document.

We encourage members of the biomedical research and graduate education community to utilize and share this document and to adopt those principles that are relevant to their particular program and institution. Among the potential uses that have been suggested are the following:

UF offers financial aid for graduate students, including employment and loan programs. Graduate students should begin by applying for aid, using on the Web.
For fellowship or assistantship applications, applications for admission, and application deadlines, contact the chairperson of your department.

Note: Students enrolled in graduate certificate programs are not eligible for federal student aid. Students enrolled in approved graduate certificate programs may be eligible for Alternative loans.

-of-aid/loans/alternative-loans/Alternative loans are available to students who are not eligible for financial aid or who need additional funds, beyond -of-aid/loans/parent-plus/Grad PLUS loans, to meet educational expenses.

://grad.ufl.edu/gss/funding/ School Fellowships are premier awards for newly enrolled PhD and MFA students and provide four years (three for MFA) of support, including full tuition, plus a nationally competitive stipend. All packages include at least one year of a graduate research or teaching assistantship. Interested applicants should contact the academic unit for information.
://grad.ufl.edu/gss/funding/ Fellowships are supplemental awards to help recruit truly exceptional graduate students. Currently enrolled students are not eligibile, except when entering a PhD program. Supplemental stipends are normally $2,000-4,000. Within the UF Graduate School, the ://grad.ufl.edu/gss/ogsse/UF Office of Graduate Student Support & Engagement coordinates special programs, events, and funding opportunities aimed at recruiting, mentoring, and retaining graduate students.

Cornell University participates in two federal student loan programs (U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens only), and certifies private education loan eligibility for graduate and professional degree candidates.

The Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment processes student loans for most Cornell graduate degree candidates. Student loans for professional degree candidates are processed by professional school financial aid offices (Johnson, Law, VetMed).

Federal loan limits and eligibility requirements apply. Federal loan funding is not available to visiting or non-matriculated students or for less-than half-time enrollment (typically, fewer than 6 credits per semester).

All graduate and professional students receiving university or student loan funding are assigned an annual estimated Cost of Attendance budget (COA). Your COA is a reasonable estimate of typical costs to attend for one academic year and includes, but is not limited to: tuition and fees, books, course materials, supplies, and equipment, transportation, miscellaneous personal expenses, and living expenses (food and housing). Your COA includes both billed and non-billed costs, is used to determine your eligibility for certain types of funding, including federal and private education loans.

In some cases, your actual costs to attend may be greater than your estimated COA. To access additional loan funds, you may need to request a Cost of Attendance Increase (annual loan limits may still apply).

Loyola Marymount University offers a select number of housing spaces for graduate students. Unfortunately, we do not offer family housing therefore, these spaces are only available to enrolled graduate students. Newly admitted graduate students must first be accepted into a graduate program and commit to attend the University before being provided access to the online housing application.

We are excited to offer a graduate housing community at Playa Del Oro. LMU at Playa Del Oro provides graduate students a housing experience just minutes from LMU. You will enjoy all the amenities Playa Del Oro has to offer. Each apartment has two bedrooms and bathrooms, washer and dryer in unit, and is fully furnished. Unfortunately, we do not offer families housing therefore, these spaces are only available to Loyola Marymount University graduate students.

The Graduate Housing Application is entirely online in the Student Housing Portal. Prospective students must be formally admitted to the University before they can gain access to the application. It may take 3-5 business days once admitted for the application to become available to you and will only be available if it is open (see below for details). Please know that it is not possible to apply only for one graduate housing option - by completing a graduate housing application you are applying for graduate housing and may be assigned to any of the graduate housing options described above. The application requires you to rank the available options to indicate your preference, but specific preferenes cannot be gauaranteed.

Fall (Move-In beginning August 1st)
The application for the upcoming academic year in graduate housing opens the first Thursday of April at 10am (PT). The priority deadline to apply is three weeks after the application opens at 5pm (PT), though the application remains open throughout the summer. Housing Assignments will be made and sent out on a monthly basis after the Priority Deadline. If you are interested, the application can be accessed via the Student Housing Portal under Campus Life in MyLMU.

Spring (Move-In beginning early January)
The application for Spring graduate housing opens the last business day of October. The priority deadline to apply is three weeks after the application opens, though the application remains open throughout the Spring semester. If you are interested, the application can be accessed via the Student Housing Portal under Campus Life in MyLMU.
