Proposal to implement Bingo with Identity Commons 3.0

A way forward for implementing the Bingo goal of a more efficient (yet still agile and distributed) identity ecosystem would be for Identity Commons to continue its evolution as a distributed umbrella organization.

 

Attached is a proposal for an Identity Commons 3.0, a  more international and still (relatively) lightweight upside down umbrella  with more support for the use of directed funding.

 

The proposal is intentionally fairly high level.  I look forward to your input and feedback.

Thanks for posting this. As someone closely involved with the transition of Identity Commons 1.0 into Identity Commons 2.0 in 2006, and as an ED for two of the existing orgs in the space, I agree this is a step that could make sense. I look forward to feedback from other potential participants and sponsors.
