Description

The department of Diversity, Access, and Inclusion invites applications for the Access and Opportunity Fellowship Program from an individual enrolled in a doctoral program at an accredited institution other than Suffolk University who has completed all coursework, passed all doctoral exams, and has had their dissertation proposal approved. The fellowship program advances Suffolk’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by creating a pipeline of scholars and change agents. Under the direction of an Academic Dean and the Vice President of Diversity, Access, and Inclusion, the fellow will continue research and scholarly work towards the completion of their dissertation, expand their knowledge around pedagogy, design and implement a course, and engage in activities to support an inclusive community. To culminate the fellowship experience, the fellow will instruct a course during the spring 2022 term. This position is a ten-month appointment from July 2021 - May 2022. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Enrolled in a doctoral program (Ph.D., Ed.D., etc.) 
  • Completed all coursework, passed doctoral comprehensive exams with dissertation proposal approved.
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to teaching centering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the course content, instructional methods, and assessment practices.

Application should be made through the Suffolk HR website with a complete submission including the following components: cover letter, CV, graduate transcript, list of scholarly publications, statement of personal/ professional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and contact information for two references.  Review of applications will begin at once and continue until the position is filled.
