Position Summary
The College Arts and Humanities Institute (CAHI) is pleased to announce its inaugural 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at Indiana University, Bloomington to begin August 1, 2022. Candidates must hold a PhD in an arts or humanities department and do interdisciplinary work related to gender, race, and media. Successful candidates will be able to address issues of gender and sexuality though various feminist and queer theoretical lenses and display a clear commitment to interdisciplinary research and education in media and queer studies, as expressed in and through the arts and humanities.

Postdoctoral Fellows will work closely with the Director and staff of CAHI to execute a number of strategic initiatives and programs. Fellows will also be expected to teach 2-courses per academic year (1-1 course load) within the Department of Gender Studies. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to be in residence for the academic year and participate fully in the intellectual life of the Institute and the Department. Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent (awarded no later than June 1, 2022) and be no more than five years past the PhD. Research and teaching experience preferred. H1-B sponsorship is not available for this position.

This is a 12-month position, and includes an annual stipend of $52,000, competitive benefits, and office space.
