Hi Michael, I am having some problems with the last version you uploaded, when I replace the files you mention: (consnet.jar and tsearch.jar) and load a problem Consnet stays in the step Main: loading objective manager. When I use the complete files you uploaded the problem with no spatial components work fine, but for the problem Regular Lat/Long Grid ConsNet do not read more than 40000 records.

I have tried the same input files in the oldest version and it works fine, so I don´t know what can be wrong.

Bye,

Maria.

Hello everyone, I am working with a global database organized in
hexagons, there are near 57000 hexagons, doing an adjacency file will
take me forever!!

Is there a way I can upload this database in its original form??

Best.

Maria.

Maria pointed out today that she is not able to use the two following
options in ConsNet:

"cells are irregularly spaced, with arbitrary shape"
"no spatial component for this problem"

The symptoms of this problem:  you load your data, but none of the
buttons or objectives are available.  On the console screen, a
NullPointerException is reported.  This bug only occurs if you select
one of the options above.

I have fixed this bug.  The error was in the GUI, and does not affect
the correctness or accuracy of results or stored data.  To upgrade,
simply replace the program files (consnet.jar and tsearch.jar) with
the new versions.  Your previous data will not be affected.

In this new version, I also included some thread management features
for computers with more than 4 processors.

Michael

Hi Maria,

This might be two separate problems, so I will start with:

(1) Regular Lat/Long Grid does not read more than 40,000 records

If there is a problem with the input file, ConsNet should print a
message. However, if you run out of memory, the program may stop as
you described. Check the console (the black screen behind ConsNet) to
see if there are any other reported errors. You will also be able to
see if you are running out of memory.

(2) ConsNet stalls in the step Main: loading objective manager

I may need more information to answer this one. First, when this
error occurs, are you loading a saved problem from the archive or are
you creating a new problem using input files? Also, check the console
to see if there are any reported errors.

Michael
