In the Personalization Control Panel save the theme for sharing as a .themepack file - right click on the current theme and choose "Save theme for sharing". Then open the saved themepack file with 7Zip or similar and extract the images you want.

I want to extract audio from a video downloaded with youtube-dl on Windows. I got youtube-dl working, but am unable to extract the audio. This problem is caused due to not having the correct audio codes installed.

I would like to separate my window into glazing panes and frame respectively. I started building my script using the revit sample house, where the following approach could be used to separate the windows correctly

I have read that I have to use Osmium to extract my regional study. But I don't know how to launch Osmium in Windows 11. I downloaded the zip file called "osmium-tool-1.14.0" on github, but then I don't understand what to do... The documentation is unclear for me because I'm just beginning. How can I launch Osmium and extract my area in pbf file ?

My Intel Mac crashed and I purchased a new M1 machine to replace it. Now I find out that Fusion w/Windows 10 will not run on the new machine. How do I extract data files from the .vmwarevm files? I have a bunch of Word documents that I need access to.

Just Copy the .vmdk file and then use an archive manager like 7zip, right click on the VMDK and then extract the files, because at the end of the day the vmdk file is just an archive. Once the extraction is over you can navigate in the extracted files and find the documents you need.

Oh, and note, there are no shared folders yet (we expect that in the tech preview) so to extract the files, use network sharing or attach an EXFat formatted thumb drive or other hard drive directly to the VM.

While the poster's comment about a vmdk file being merely an archive, it IS actually readable/extractable with 7-zip. You cannot WRITE and modify the contents of the virtual disk file, but you CAN read from it. So, if all the OP wants to do is extract files/folders from the virtual disk, that MAY be all they need to do.

As for the methode that I proposed, if the vmdk is not encrypted, you can extract the files from it by using 7zip and I have done that many times before and as @RDPetruska said if the user needs just to get back some files form the VM why would they bother if they can just get them back from the extracted files?

There is a 7zip command utility for macOS, but I haven't found a magic incantation that will allow it to extract a file out of the vmdk. If I try to list contents of the .vmdk file, it comes back with the GPT partitions that are available in the virtual disk.

I have a large docx file with customer names. I need to extract just the customer name from the file. I am not sure where to start, ie: regex or parseJSON or some other way. Any help is appreciated. Here is a snip from the docx file. Thanks

It seems that in my original post, this forum extracted the customer names from the string that I added to the post. I have corrected my post to show the actual string that I am using. The text that I need is between the > and

I use Check Point Full Disk Encryption, but hope that this question can be answered generally. Is it possible for me to get, or extract, my own 256-bit AES key? By the way, I don't use any special password for the decryption itself, so this key must be based on my Windows login password alone (which you can assume is long enough to prevent cracking).

As I see it, Check Point could reveal the key within its pull-down menus if it wanted to but probably chooses not to. Further, I would guess that the Windows 7 DPAPI prevents any other software from extracting the key even after I've logged in (and thereby given that software full permission to do anything, including physical access and decrypted access of the hard drive).

By the way, it's not using your Windows logon. After all, windows is on the encrypted disk too, so it has to be unlocked long before you get to the logon prompt. If you are not being prompted for a password, it's likely using a TPM chip that automatically decrypts the drive whenever you power up the machine, so the key isn't even stored on the disk.

The Windows View shows part of the current robot state, such as a loadedHTML page or a JSON document. Variables or attributes of certain simple types(XML, JSON and Excel) can also be shown in a tab in the Windows View. When avariable is shown in the Windows View, you may operate on it in the same way asother documents loaded in the Windows View. For example, you can extract, test, and loop over, and in most cases you can also modify the variable.

As an example you may want to call a web service that takes some XML asinput, and as output also returns some XML. You may then create the input XMLusing an XML variable that you modify using a step action that works on thecontent of the window showing the variable. When it has the desired form, youmay feed it as input to a web service step action. You can have this webservice step action store the response in another XML variable, which you maythen loop over and extract data from.

Is there a tool that can extract controls from screenshots (dialogues, windows,...) automatically in something like layers in Photoshop? In my memory there was a tool for Mac doing this. But I couldn't find it anymore. Better would be such a tool for windows, of course ;-)
