Mad Skills Motocross: Chasing the Dream is an authentic motocross racing experience that was developed by riders, for riders. It perfectly blends arcade-style mechanics with realistic track layouts and rider movements. Get ready to experience the thrill of motocross racing like never before.
Wait, is this the LCQ studios that used to be a solo guy trying to develop a moto game while in college?! If so, this is freaking awesome. It is awesome either way. I used to follow him on facebook way back when he was first getting started.
It is! Michael Hodge is the main guy behind LCQ. Turborilla was planning on making a very similar game to his original Motocross: Chasing the Dream demo. We contacted him to see if he wanted to come together to make the best MX game possible instead of being competitors. The plan is to join forces and make a game for the community. We'll release a demo on Steam in the coming weeks where the community can give us feedback. The goal is to get the community highly involved from the start.
Ah yes Hodge! I remember now. It's cool to see someones hard work pay off years later. He really had some good looking early gameplay years ago. Can't wait to see what you all put out. I'll have to find some time to get back onto Steam.
I hope its better than Mad skills motocross 3 is Mad skills 2 is great and I still play it, 3 sucked and I gave it a good try and spent a lot of money upgrading bikes but it still stunk. I will try the PC game because I do buy them all.
We will be leaning heavily on the community during the development process. We want to get this in the community's hands as early as possible to get feedback and ensure it's up to your standards. This is meant to be a game we develop together. It won't have many similarities to MSM3. It will have a similar mentality of easy to learn and hard to master.
Let me clarify, no need to be bummed! This new game is a partnership between LCQ Studios and Turborilla. It will take Chasing the Dream to new levels and continue where LCQ left off. You won't have to buy the game twice. So it's kind of the same game, but a different game according to Steam (for stupid technical reasons that aren't interesting). Chasing the Dream is still being supported, but now under this new title in collaboration with Turborilla.
Yet! We have plans for terrain deformation. Can't have a legit MX game without it. We are still very early in the development process, but we want to get the community involved early, so we are announcing it now. Demo to be released soon! The first demo will focus mostly on testing multiplayer infrastructure and bike and rider physics. Then we'll take the community's feedback and go from there.
I think you'll like this then. It won't be a realistic sim. We want it to be authentic with realistic tracks, animations, and SFX, but the controls and physics are more on the arcade side and more accessible.

Motocross is a physically and mentally demanding sport that requires a unique set of attributes to be successful. A good motocross rider must possess a combination of physical strength, mental toughness, and technical skills to perform at the highest level. In this blog, we will explore the key attributes that are essential for success in motocross.
One of the most important skills that a motocross rider must possess is physical fitness. Motocross riders must be able to endure long periods of intense physical activity that requires a high level of endurance and stamina. Motocross riders are required to perform a series of technical manoeuvres that require strength, balance, and flexibility. In addition, riders must be able to maintain their focus and concentration throughout the entire race.
Mental toughness is another crucial attribute for success in motocross. Riders must be able to handle the high-pressure environment of competition and remain focused under extreme stress. The ability to stay calm and composed in the face of adversity is an essential attribute for a motocross rider. Riders must be able to adapt to changing conditions, make split-second decisions, and push through pain and discomfort to achieve their goals.
Motocross is an inherently risky sport, and riders must be able to assess the risks associated with each move they make on the track. Good riders must have the ability to accurately assess their own abilities and the track conditions to make informed decisions about when to push themselves and when to back off. The ability to make these decisions quickly and confidently is an essential skill for success in motocross.
Finally, a good motocross rider must have a deep passion for the sport. Motocross is a challenging and often gruelling sport, and riders must be willing to put in the hours of practice required to master their craft. A love for the sport and a burning desire to succeed is what drives the best riders to push themselves to new heights.
In conclusion, a good motocross rider must possess a combination of physical strength, mental toughness, technical skills, risk assessment abilities, and passion for the sport. By developing these key attributes, a rider can reach their full potential and achieve success in the world of motocross.
