The issue I'm facing is uploading Reels formatted videos through Hubspot's CSM and they only accept videos that fit between 1.91:1 and 4:5 aspect ratio. Does anyone know the solution besides uploading these types of videos manually?

As a social media manager, I am facing an issue uploading Instagram Reels videos through Hubspot's CMS, as it only accepts videos within a specific aspect ratio. To resolve this, I suggest using a video editing software to resize the videos before uploading or using a third-party integration found in the Hubspot Marketplace. This will ensure that our videos are visually appealing on Instagram.

One solution would be to use a video editing software to resize the video to fit within the aspect ratio requirements before uploading it to Hubspot's CSM. This can be done by cropping or adding black bars to the video. You can use open source software like Blender or Lightworks or paid software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. Another option would be to use a third-party integration that can automatically resize the video before uploading to Hubspot's CSM. Such integrations can be found in the Hubspot Marketplace.

It's mind blowing to me that this feature is not already available on HubSpot. So many other platforms have already udated to offer this feature, including Loomly, and recently Later. As a marketer, I find it interesting that the HubSpot blog is actually directing people away from HubSpot to platforms like Later. I really hope this feature becomes available soon. -instagram-reels

I am wondering if anyone has had the same issue with a posted reel showing as a portrait rectangle opposed to the standard square images of a post. The feed has other videos in the post that are square in the template feed but the posted reel is displaying as a portrait rectangle.

To start, if you are utilizing data feed in the old editor to pull it in, there currently is not any workaround for this issue unfortunately. I would suspect this issue has to do with the dimension and sizing of the IG reel and us causing it to be pulled in will not have everything aligned. Since the aspect ratio of IG reels is different from how IG videos and photos are formatted, this is probably the likely culprit of why it is pulling in like so.

The issue could also be on the hands of IG and how their posts get formatted in. But we can share this feedback with our product team to explore looking into optimizing for their new reels. I would also love to hear from other Community members on how they have dealt with this issue.

I was just following up on the Instagram feed and showing portrait aspect ratio Reels beside square images and videos. Has Klaviyo found a solution to this issue? It would be good if the Instagram feed would only show Reels or only show videos or images to make the Instagram feed look symmetrical on the email template.

Thanks for the followup here. Although I cannot give an exact timeline on when a feature like auto cropping will become native to our platform, I can suggest that you remove these reels from your feed design if you want. I believe it would be a setting you will need to select in the RSS Feed Generator.

You should see this "Feed settings" option where you will be able to toggle between showing videos or not.

For example, to create today's reel, I knew I needed to shoot two different clips with the exact same setup and framing, but with me wearing two different sets of clothing and watches. So prior to shooting, I needed to plot out a handful of details like what I'd be wearing, how I'd be sitting, and what gesture I'd use in both clips to create a seamless transition.

L: Tap the audio track name in the bottom left of a reel. M: From the audio track view, you can tap the Use Audio button to start a new reel with that audio track. R: The camera view with the selected audio track indicated.

Once you have your clips recorded or imported into the Instagram app, you can trim or delete clips by tapping the left arrow icon next to the record button. It's worth noting that clips will always appear in the order they were recorded or imported in and can't be re-ordered after.

As soon as your clips are ready to go, you can tap the Preview button to see all the clips strung together. In this view, you can also manage your audio or add things like filters, stickers, drawings, or text. You can even manage where in the timeline certain elements will appear.

Note that if you wanted to edit your clips further with other apps, you could download the entire reel here too. However, the video file won't include the audio track. Read on further below to see how I download the audio track separately when I'm editing outside of Instagram.

Overall, Instagram's built-in reel editor is pretty basic but more than capable at getting simple reels done. However, I find that as soon as the transitions start to get a little complex and more precision on timing different elements is needed, the Instagram editor interface starts to be far less efficient and capable.

There are a many video editing apps available for people at all levels of proficiency. That said, I want to underline that you do not need to use or pay for professional software to make reels. Yes, you could use software like Adobe AfterEffects, it would just be overkill.

L: Select the clip and tap Extract Audio in the bottom toolbar. M: The original clip with audio now separated from the video. R: Tap the plus icon to import your own clips to use with the isolated audio track.

L: Tap the music note icon in the preview view to manage the audio track. M: Tap Edit under the audio track to customize its timing. R: Use the timeline at the bottom to adjust the exact timing of the audio with your video clips.

Sync up with the beats: The best reels combine the impact of a great audio track with synced visuals. The easiest way to level up your reel is to try to sync anything happening visually to the beat of the music.

One of the most recommended strategies for social media growth is posting often, and I set out to test that theory for 2024. I posted a reel every day for a year so you don't have to. The results are not what you'd expect.

Thus, posting every day for a year was going to be a big challenge for me, and the only way I was going to stick with it was knowing I could save time by batch processing many of the Instagram reels. At first, this was selecting random images from my catalog, but eventually, I found the trick to make it easier on myself was to create themes. Things like mountains, trees, oceans, or places like Alaska, Europe, California, etc.

Alex Armitage has traveled the world to photograph and film some of the most beautiful places it has to offer. No matter the location, perfecting it's presentation to those absent in the moment is always the goal; hopefully to transmute the feeling of being there into a visual medium.

Great data-driven article. While it's easy for me to be the grumpy, "get off my lawn social media," guy, social is a marketing tool that benefits those who leverage it. If you're a full-time photog getting by without social, then respect and more power to you.

I think reels algorithm just feeds narcissism so people feel warm and fuzzy and continue to waste their time on IG, and consequently exposed to more ads and high activity rate for the platform. From what I understand, and it makes sense from what I see, even if you scroll past a reel and it starts playing just by scrolling past, it counts as a view. The reason why I say it makes sense is because of the actual interaction: likes and comments, their total is much much lower than the view count. If image posts got a view count whenever someone scrolled past, I guarantee the numbers will be just like the reels.

For instance, if you take this current reel with over 3K views, only 365 bothered to engage to like and 6 commented. The engagement numbers are more or less roughly the same as the image posts. Even going back to 2018.

Instagram[a] is a photo and video sharing social networking service owned by Meta Platforms. It allows users to upload media that can be edited with filters, be organized by hashtags, and be associated with a location via geographical tagging. Posts can be shared publicly or with preapproved followers. Users can browse other users' content by tags and locations, view trending content, like photos, and follow other users to add their content to a personal feed.[8] A Meta-operated image-centric social media platform, it is available on iOS, Android, Windows 10, and the web. Users can take photos and edit them using built-in filters and other tools, then share them on other social media platforms like Facebook. It supports 32 languages including English, Spanish, French, Korean, and Japanese.[9]

Originally launched for iOS in October 2010 by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, Instagram rapidly gained popularity, with one million registered users in two months, 10 million in a year, and 1 billion by June 2018. In April 2012, Facebook Inc. acquired the service for approximately US$1 billion in cash and stock. The Android version of Instagram was released in April 2012, followed by a feature-limited desktop interface in November 2012, a Fire OS app in June 2014, and an app for Windows 10 in October 2016. As of October 2015[update], over 40 billion photos had been uploaded. Although often admired for its success and influence, Instagram has also been criticized for negatively affecting teens' mental health, its policy and interface changes, its alleged censorship, and illegal and inappropriate content uploaded by users..mw-parser-output .toclimit-2 .toclevel-1 ul,.mw-parser-output .toclimit-3 .toclevel-2 ul,.mw-parser-output .toclimit-4 .toclevel-3 ul,.mw-parser-output .toclimit-5 .toclevel-4 ul,.mw-parser-output .toclimit-6 .toclevel-5 ul,.mw-parser-output .toclimit-7 .toclevel-6 uldisplay:none
