StarSportsUS is glad to announce Late Shri. P. D. Dahale Memorial Indoor Cricket Tournament 2013. A successful winter competitive indoor cricket tournament was arranged last year with the help of individuals like you and looking ahead to another winter competition.

We would like to take opportunity to invite you for 2013 tournament.  The tentative start date of the tournament is 09th Nov 2013.

This tournament will have 18 to 24 teams with 8 players each side and 12 Overs game. All games will be played with Hard Tennis Balls at StarsportsUS Indoor Cricket Facility on weekends. Duration of tournament is 6-8 weeks with no games over long weekends.

Each team will have 8 to 9 games to play in round robin and top teams from each pool will participate in playoffs. Details about the structure of tournament will be sent later once we know number of teams participating

Tournament Fee: $135.00

Each team will buy 1 & half Box of hard tennis balls approx $15 per box.

Prizes:

Winner Team: P. D. Dahale Memorial Champions Trophy, 3 Hrs Free Lane Rental worth $105 and Cricket Bat

Runner Up: P. D. Dahale Memorial Runner up Trophy, 2 Hrs free Lane Rental worth $70 and Cricket Bat

Best Batsman

Best Bowler

Man of the Series

And many more prizes which we are working on.

Few highlights of this year's tournament

·         More matches in round robin. Around 24 teams expected to Participate

·         IPL or NFL fashioned playoff games. Top teams given better position in playoffs. Detailed will be circulated with schedule

·         Scheduling learning from last year to be implemented. Avoid breaks between games for teams and have consecutive matches.

·         Restaurant & Cafe stalls for teams to enjoy Indian snacks during games.

·         No Games over long weekends

·         Expected tournament length 6 to 8 weeks.

Please confirm your team's participation by Thursday 31st Oct with payment of $135.00. Checks payable to StarSportsUS LLC and mail it to following address.

Thanks guys. We have 9 confirmed so far. SatheeshP, Vijay, Balu, Anand, Karteek, Harish, Chandru, Vishal, Dheeraj. Please let me know if I miss anyone. Ideally we would like to have atleast 10 or 11 count. In case someone dropout on that particular week, we should be able to manage.

Hey Ppl,

So here is the list of 10 confirmations so far.

Vijay, SatheeshP, Balu, Anand, Karteek, Harish, Chandru, Vishal, Dheeraj and Rajesh.

Anybody else interested to be enrolled?

I will send out the nomination and the cheque sometime on Monday.

The total tournament fee would 157.50 approximately $16 each.

I have a low priority office production support during the weekend and will be available 99% of the time.

Since there is 2 game tomorrow if any one is interested I can play one match and sit for another match so that I can have backup in the worst case if I have to leave..
