Apply Now To Become Our Next Wild Volunteer!

We are happy to announce that we are looking for an Interreg Volunteer Youth volunteer! The European Wilderness Society is inviting you to apply and become our next volunteer for the period of 6 months, between July and December 2019! The application deadline is 29th May.

We offer an internship for Centralparks, a transboundary project in the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme. You will have the chance to contribute to the latest transnational environmental actions focused on the Carpathian protected areas, one of the most important European wildlife refuges harbouring some of the last undisturbed ecosystems. The project unites 7 countries and focuses on building management capacities of Carpathian protected areas for the harmonization of biodiversity protection and local socio-economic development.

Are you wild enough?

We are looking for somebody between 18 and 30 years old, with very good English language skills up for working in an international team, who is interested to contribute to the protected areas in the Carpathian region. Starting from July, your home for 6 months will be Tamsweg, located in the beautiful UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Lungau. If you have thirst for knowledge, enthusiasm and openness for wild experiences, you’re a perfect fit for us!

Your tasks will include:

assisting the project team with project communication (online materials)
assistance to the project management
getting involved in project event organisation
joining project events and field trips
photo documentation of field activities

Moreover, you should be prepared to:

have multiple learning opportunities on professional and personal level
join the European Wilderness Society team on field trips

…but most importantly: be ready for a Wild adventure!

The volunteer will be financially supported with €28 per day for 6 months.
