SUMMARY:
Issam is a young and energetic boy who loves everything about school and reads a lot of books. But what he loves the most are teacher Jeanette's stories; she has magical powers at her fingertips. When his parents disappear, Issam goes looking for them, with the precious help of Jeannette and her enchanting magic. At the age of eight, Issam lives a fairy tale-like adventure, with a funny and delightful way of seeing life. His journey is filled with surprises, which keep him growing in pursuit of an unexpected destiny.
Voici mon passage préféré quand Jeannette claque des doigts et que la magie s'installe...
I understood that Jeannette was definitely on a mission: She was quite certain of the direction she was taking, and she knew this world like the back of her hand. But which mission? Finding my parents, of course! What an idea! I knew it wouldn't be long before I knew what had happened. I was feeling good; there was not a cloud in the sky. We had been walking for several minutes already, down a winding path with light green cobblestones. I was very hungry. Jeannette stopped suddenly:
"We will eat in this garden!" she said, with a firm tone.
I could see a glint of mischief in her eyes: Jeannette certainly had something in mind. She snapped her fingers and a table appeared. There were fruit juices, syrups, fruit, cakes, a chocolate cake and a dozen cakes, each one as appealing as the next one. I ate until I was full. We went back on the road, and a few minutes later we arrived in front of a huge castle. Jeannette looked at me and said, "I was supposed to take you to Princess Luna, and that's done! My mission is over."
