Drakewas the original and most powerful of the vampire species. His kind have sought him out in the hope he will restore vampires to Daywalkers and kill the only Daywalker other than himself, Blade. However, after Blade allied himself with the Nightstalkers, Drake was defeated.
Drake was the progenitor of the vampire race, Homines nocturnae. He terrorized humankind from the first moments of its history, spreading his cursed blood all over the world. According to legend, he was born around the 5th or 4th millennium BC in the "cradle of civilization" of ancient Sumer, Mesopotamia. He was worshiped by the Babylonians as "Dagon", and as the centuries passed he eventually became known as "Dracula". Dracula later became disgusted with the world and retreated to a tomb in Iraq to sleep through the coming ages.
From the 16th century onward, myths regarding Dracula filtered through Western culture, leading Bram Stoker to write the famous novel bearing his name in 1897. In the 20th century, the mythical version of Dracula entered popular culture in the form of various motion pictures.
Searching for help in their fight with the vampire hunter Blade, Danica Talos and Asher Talos found Drake's 4,000 year old tomb in the Syrian Desert, and awakened him. After consuming dozens of humans in order to regain his strength and powers, Drake was informed by Danica on the situation of the vampire kind and on Blade, and, disgusted by their weakness, decided to hunt down and kill the Daywalker.
Drake, immune to the effects of sunlight, exited from Talos's base and saw all the changes the world had gone through in the millennia he was asleep. Mocked and infuriated by two teenage vampire-themed gift shop employees who tried to sell him a Dracula-shaped vibrator, Drake killed them both, and then headed for Edgar Vance's office. Once there, Drake killed the familiar and waited for Blade's arrival in the guise of the psychiatrist. Blade arrived along with Abigail Whistler and Hannibal King. After discovering Vance's corpse, the trio attacked Drake, but he easily incapacitated King. While Abigail took care of Hannibal, Blade followed Drake dead who was escaping on the rooftops. Drake told Blade he felt affinity with him, since they're both "honorable warriors", and challenged him to a regular duel. After creating a distraction with a baby he held hostage, Drake fled.
Some days later, when Blade and Abigail were out on hunt, Drake arrived at the Nightstalkers base with the shape of Abraham Whistler. In here, he killed all the Nightstalkers, with the sole exceptions of Hannibal King, who was taken to Danica for an interrogation, and Zoe, Sommerfield's little daughter, who Drake wanted to convert to a vampire. When Blade arrived at Talos' place, Drake was awaiting him. The two engaged in a sword fight, during which they proved to be equal. Enjoying the fight, Drake assumed his real shape, a towering demon whose powers were far superior to Blade's. Just a moment before he finished Blade, Abigail tried to kill Drake with an arrow charged with the Daystar Virus, a biological weapon created to kill all vampires once mixed with Drake's blood. Drake's reflexes were too sharp, and he evaded the tip of and caught the shaft of the arrow in mid air, roaring at the girl and leaving it falling on the ground. Blade understood the opportunity, grabbed the arrow and stabbed Drake's flank with it, releasing the Daystar which killed all nearby vampires. Before death, Drake praised his enemy for his skills and honor, telling him that, as long as Blade was alive, there was a future for the vampire race. He then granted Blade a "parting gift".
When FBI agents Ray Cumberland and Wilson Hale arrived, they found Blade's corpse and took it to the morgue. They soon discovered that the corpse was in reality Drake's, who transformed to give Blade more time to escape, thus making a final gift in praise of Blade for besting him in honorable combat.
Drake considered himself to be superior to all beings, regardless of if they are human or vampire; he was the apex of apex predators. Drake portrayed himself as a warrior; he believed that living by the blade is honourable, and chose to exile himself into hibernation (as a way of escaping a World without honour, one that he had grown disgusted with). Even after his return, Drake expressed disappointment over his fellow vampires, believing they had become a shadow of their former glory; Drake expressed contempt for those around him, possibly with the only exception being Blade. Drake found respect for the being that was hunting his kind, as he fought with honour, unlike the others. With his dying breath, he knew that Blade was truly the future of the vampire race, despite the Talos' attempts to make a new breed of vampire via Drake himself.
Dracula is the first of his kind. His blood is the most potent of all vampires. Because he is the progenitor of the species, his blood is pure, free of centuries worth of selective mutation. Hannibal King described him as "like the great white shark," as he has never needed to evolve due to him being born a perfect vampiric specimen, his only genetic successor being, at least according to Drake himself, Blade.
Being unaware of the existence of vampires, the world considers Blade to be a serial killer. The vampires capitalize on this misconception and succeed in framing Blade (Wesley Snipes) for the killing of a familiar posing as a vampire. During the ensuing manhunt, the FBI locate and attack the hideout. During the siege, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) is mortally wounded and perishes after setting the hideout self-destruct. With his mentor gone, Blade allows himself to be captured.
The two return to find the Nightstalkers have been all but wiped out. The only exception is King, who has been kidnapped by Drake, and a young girl named Zoe (Haili Page), the daughter of one of the Nightstalkers. Blade and Abigail go to the Talos building to save their friends.
The Signs and Symbols on which gave me some time to research are the glyphs and weapons they used. I was also curious to that movie on how and why those vampires still exist and used modern technology to their plans.
The upward moving triangle is sometimes called the blade (the chalice and blade figure ceremonially in many ritual magic operations). It is a symbol of aspiration or rising up, male force, and fire. It is purely phallic in origin. The triangle represents aspiration, rising force, and the male principal.
The downward pointing triangle is sometimes called the chalice. It is the symbol of water (as it flows downward), the grace of heaven, and the womb. it is one of the most ancient symbols of female divinity, as a representation of the genitalia of the goddess.
Vampirism in the Blade universe broadly shares many of the characteristics of vampirism in wider folkloric and popular culture, but differs in many details. Significant differences between Blade vampires and the folkloric depiction of vampires include the definition of vampirism as a biological condition, and not just a supernatural affliction. This means, such as, that Blade vampires are not affected by religious symbols such as crucifixes and holy water. Other attributes traditionally associated with the folkloric description of vampirism such as turning into mist or a bat, or living hermit-like lives, also are not depicted. Blade vampires are intricately involved in modern human society and live high-tech lives. The Blade vampire races also have their own language, which all vampires speak. A majority of all vampires also speak human languages.
This mutation endows the vampire with an improved metabolism and other biological functions that grant many improved or even superhuman capabilities of strength, speed, senses, endurance, movement, and longevity. These are made possible via new specialized organs created during the mutation process.
Pure bloods stay youthful during very long lives, such as Charlotte, a pure blood vampire of the House of Chthon in Blade: The Series, is about 300 years old and still maintains the youthful appearance of an adolescent girl. A pure-blood vampire that looks like a full-grown adult is, then, truly ancient.
A pure-blood vampire is unable to become a human again, due to the condition being fixed in their DNA. This is not the case with non-pure bloods. In the first Blade film, a retrovirus is found that can return non-pure bloods to their human status.

The history between actors Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds is well known. There have been reports that the two didn't get along very well during the production of Blade: Trinity, and Snipes has reflected on the reported feud.
Snipes discussed his issues with Reynolds in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. In Blade: Trinity, the 2004 film that served as the final chapter of Snipes' Blade trilogy, Reynolds played the role of Hannibal King, a fellow vampire hunter. Snipes suggested that the reports of a supposed feud between the actors likely stems from how the Blade star didn't care much for Reynolds' sense of humor at the time. With that said, Snipes doesn't mind Reynolds' humor so much anymore, giving the Deadpool actor credit for finding his niche in Hollywood with his unique brand of humor.
"Some of the things he did back in those days, that's not really my humor," Snipes explained. "I'm not tuned in that way. So I thought, 'Well, it's a little over the top for me.' But seeing him do it [as the Deadpool character] made a lot of sense. And seeing him do it and do it well, Ryan does something that most people can't do. He's unique in that way, and he's found a fantastic niche for himself doing what he does. Deadpool is Ryan Reynolds all day long."
