Cannot set key value in properties file

I have been trying to change the "connectorserver.key=hFYqlDQ7WMyVT3I/OBPd9TbFOik\=" value present in the connectorserver.properties file using the command:

"bin\ConnectorServer.bat /setkey qwerty" but I get no exception on my command prompt neither the original value in the properties file changes. 

I am using Windows 10.

Please advise
