Location: Phoenix, AZ / Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Neo4j Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise graph database solutions using Neo4j. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in graph data modeling, Cypher query optimization, and integrating Neo4j with enterprise applications and cloud platforms. This role requires close collaboration with business, data engineering, and application development teams to deliver scalable, high-performance graph-based solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software development, data architecture, or database technologies.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Neo4j architecture and administration.
• Strong experience in graph data modeling and graph database design.
• Expertise in Cypher query language and query optimization.
• Experience with Neo4j AuraDB, Neo4j Enterprise Edition, or clustered environments.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating Neo4j with enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of ETL/data ingestion pipelines using Kafka, Apache Spark, or similar tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with graph analytics and Graph Data Science (GDS).
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, and distributed systems.
• Banking or financial services domain experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale graph database solutions using Neo4j.
• Develop graph data models based on business and technical requirements.
• Optimize Cypher queries for high performance and scalability.
• Architect and implement Neo4j clustering, replication, and high-availability solutions.
• Integrate Neo4j with Java/Spring Boot applications, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
• Design data migration and ingestion strategies from relational and NoSQL databases.
• Monitor database performance and perform tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Implement security, authentication, authorization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Define graph database standards, best practices, and governance policies.
• Support production deployments and resolve complex performance or database issues.
• Mentor development teams on graph database architecture and Neo4j best practices.

Nice to Have

• Neo4j Certified Professional or Neo4j Certified Graph Data Scientist certification.
• Experience with GraphQL integration.
• Knowledge of AI/ML use cases leveraging graph databases.
• Experience with enterprise data integration and master data management (MDM).

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
