November 13, 2009 will mark the official inauguration of Dr. Carlton
E. Brown as the third president of Clark Atlanta University. The
ceremony will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Georgia
World Congress Center in Atlanta.
A nationally recognized higher education executive, academician,
researcher, and author, Dr. Brown previously served from 1997 to 2006
as president of Savannah State University and in 2007, was appointed
to assist in the implementation of major system-wide initiatives by
the chancellor of the University System of Georgia’s Board of
Regents.
