AN ACT CONCERNING STATE EMPLOYEES AND VIOLENCE AND BULLYING IN THE
WORKPLACE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the department of
administrative services to report to the Governor and the joint
standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of
matters relating to labor summarizing the number of complaints of
workplace violence or abusive conduct involving state employees and
the outcomes of such complaints for the preceding year. Such report
shall include recommendations for administrative or legislative action
related to such complaints.

Statement of Purpose:

To require that the Department of Administrative Services report the
number of complaints of bullying or abusive conduct to the General
Assembly.

Bill 5464 is AN ACT CONCERNING STATE EMPLOYEES AND VIOLENCE AND
BULLYING IN THE WORKPLACE. On Feb. 9, 2011, "In accordance with the
provisions of Senate Rule 9(b), the first reading of the following
bills and resolutions was waived, the list of bills and resolutions as
prepared by the Clerks was accepted, and the bills and resolutions
referred to the Committees as indicated thereon in concurrence..."
