1. I'm building myself a Mendel, and have most of the rod/bolts/etc, but
currently no plastic parts.
2. I've got a complete set of straight rod pre-cut for the Mendel for
the Hackerspace (was like $7.50 per set).
3. I've probably got some M8 threaded rod excess as well, but not enough
for a full kit. I'm paying $7ish per 1m length shipped from a place in
Qld with $15 shipping (compared to say $26 from Bunnings, plus theirs is
bent!).
4. I'm not planning on using the standard electronics, but something
based more on an Arduino Mega with the Polulu drivers.
5. I'm happy to baby-sit a Makerbot printing parts, but that would be
once I move house (the move is this weekend, but it'd be a few weeks
after that before I will be able to get to the Hackerspace for more than
a 5 min visit).
