Oh, don't get me wrong. I know the technology WILL exist to make it doable in the home. And soon.
I've seen the architect article before but the car one is new to me and rather awesome. Thanks for that.
What I found humorous is solely the fact that people RIGHT NOW think they could print out a car at home, print out a gun to kill someone or build themselves a 3D printed home. At home.
And also the lack of vision or creativity that leads people to saying Car or House as their first option.
I know it will be viable on a personal scale in the future but all I could picture was someone printing out Lego bricks and assembling them one at a time to build his house.
Jokes and jests aside, is anyone familiar with personal sintered steel/aluminum printers? I'm currently building myself an aluminum forge and thinking for great it would be to print in steel.
