I am using my tablet more and more and would like to backup all of my
hosts that have setup in connectbot. Can someone please tell me how I
can do this in case I would need to restore from a disaster.

Thanks

It doesn't look like there is any way to export or import the hosts
list from ConnectBot, so the only way to do this would be to back up
the app. This would require root access on the phone.

TitaniumBackup (https://market.android.com/details?
id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup) is the most frequently recommended
backup program for root, but there are others out there.

Since this is a list of people who know ssh, you may also know rsync.
rsync backup for Android (https://market.android.com/details?
id=eu.kowalczuk.rsync4android) is a great complement to TitaniumBackup
if you don't want to use DropBox. This tool can rsync whatever you
want from your SD card over ssh to your own server. With Tasker, you
can automate it.

The git version on the website supports the built-in Android backup mechanism.

Just install it on one phone with your hosts then install ConnectBot for the first time on another phone. All the hosts should show up.

You can force it with adb (note that I don't know if you can do this with a user-keys build):

(on original phone)
adb shell bmgr backup org.connectbot
adb shell bmgr run

..wait a few minutes..
(on new phone)
adb shell bmgr restore org.connectbot
