Hi,

I want to get a long listing of a folder.

I have used
  ls -lR > x.txt

in the past a number of times.  But now it is only listing the contents of the current folder.

This does not appear to be the case for all folders.  Just some.  Others do indeed get long listed.

Is there some way of rectifying this so that i works for all?

Thanks,

David.

Check the permissions on the folders not getting listed, you may not have read access.
