I just got the Xoom and was kinda disappointed there was no landscape
option. Landscape is terrible for phones, but perfect for tablets!!! Please

Landscape mode works fine on my Xoom. Under Settings->Rotation Mode make
sure its set to "Automatic".

Hi, I have exactly the same problem on my Xoom, Screen set to auto
rotation. Before I connect the screen is in landscape, but once I connect
to a ssh session the screen auto rotates to portrait, so annoying...

Please note the setting he is refering to is actually a connectbot setting,
not the similar Android system setting. I enabled it on my Asus Transformer
and now I get landscape mode. Great!

landscape mode works when it is enabled, so this issue can be closed. See
issue 243 for problems when using a soft keyboard which is covering a part
of the terminal.
