New issue 678 by
pauledwa...@gmail.com: Feature Request - ANSI emulation
support for old BBS games
http://code.google.com/p/connectbot/issues/detail?id=678
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to an old-school BBS via telnet and attempt to play games.

2. Observe that the character encoding is not correct.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I hoped to see similar output to that on the desktop using a BBS client
such as SyncTerm, but was disappointed. Apparently there is no support for
ANSI in connectbot.

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
1.7.1
What type of system are you trying to connect to?
Telnet to Bulletin Board Systems
If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?
I am connecting, but cannot get to a prompt to indicate the $TERM
environment setting or the kernel info. I think many hosts are on Windows
systems.
Please provide any additional information below.
