Inthis example, the aircraft is flying on heading 130 to establish on the IDGQ (111.7 / course 003) ILS. The Glide Slope diamond is empty and below the outer circle, the aircraft is well above the IDQG Glide Slope.

In this example, the aircraft is flying on heading 130, has just passed "FOSSE", next waypoint is CEDOX, course to CEDOX is 135, distance is 16.8NM and ETA is 13:10z. We can also see 12NM ahead of the current position the FMGS calculated END of descend (blue arrow).

The CLT VOR is in front of us (arrows aligned with current heading) and 26NM ahead (DME located at the bottom). We can also see 12NM ahead of the current position the FMGS calculated END of descend (blue arrow).

On this picture, we are preparing our arrival to EDDL on runway 23L. We are in PLAN mode, and CSTR activated. In magenta you can see the constraints are displayed. In this example, METMA has to be flown at 3000ft or above (+3000), FI32L has to be flown at 1850ft.

Airports displayed are the ones included in the FMGS database. Depending on the aircraft owner, it can include all airports, or only airports where the aircraft has the performances to take off and land.

Radar terrain information can be displayed on the navigation

display via a switch located next to the ND. A special colour scheme

enables the pilot to know the terrain clearance.

The weather radar reflects the concentration of liquid in the air. Green

means few liquid water, Red indicates an important concentration of

liquid water (i.e. very active CB/TCU cloud with a large amount of

supercooled water, dangerous due to the aircraft icing risk).

L3Harris supplies and supports the Navigation Display System (NDS) for electronic charting across the entire fleet of Royal Australian Navy vessels, enabling improved navigational safety and efficiency of vessel operations and streamlined maritime planning at HQ level.

The NDS is the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) specific Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information System (W-ECDIS) which replaced the use of paper charts for the navigation of ships. The system improves navigational safety and efficiency of vessel operations and streamlines maritime planning at HQ level.

L3Harris works with the Australian Maritime Command and Control (MC2) Systems Program Office to supply and support NDS for the RAN, with the L3Harris system mandated across the entire RAN fleet of 53 vessels. We also provide and support other bridge navigation systems for the RAN.

The NDS displays electronic charts, navigational information and the ship's position in real time on a visual display monitor and alerts the operators of dangers. It provides a powerful situational awareness and decision making tool on the bridge by combining satellite and other position fixing information with ship's sensors and a sophisticated electronic database of charting and other navigation information, enabling more accurate mission planning. Other navigational equipment and tools can also be overlayed and integrated with the NDS.

L3Harris has provided NDS under the SEA 1430 Phase 2A program since 2004 as the prime contractor and systems integrator, working with OSI, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). We provide a 24/7 Helpdesk accessible to support NDS installations, manage in-service obsolescence issues, hold spares to provide rapid upgrades and fixes and provide engineering and servicing for all systems across the fleet. We also regularly roll out software enhancements across all platforms ensuring effective integration with combat and other naval systems. Our experienced engineers and technicians often support vessels whilst deployed on missions to ensure no down time for the vessal and its crew.

L3Harris provides sustainment and support for the Royal Australian Navy's Hydrographic Sensor Suite Mission Systems as well as peripheral systems associated with training, portability, tactical operation and support.

Hi.

So I was thinking about this and had an idea. instead of the map being a map it could be a navigation display found like the ones in cockpits. Like this.

This would be more realistic. And the UI would be simple. The settings button we have near the map would have all the things we want to turn on like weatger, terrain, traffic etc. And the zoom buttons could be used To zoom out and in like 10, 20,30,40 and flight plan mode.

Yes I have included that in the description. You know when you change the screens from the HUD to the map. The map page will still be there so you can plan the route but when you go back to the HUD yow will see that display

I actually was thinking of this request recently. We have to wait what will be delivered with the A350 cockpit. I am hoping for an A350 functioning Navigation Display, but we have to wait for that, since the A350s is one of the most complete and complex glass cockpit layouts.

I want to customize the navigation menu in my custom app to display five different reports in a drop down. I followed documentation and was able to display dashboard but reports are not getting displayed.

First make sure your dashboards ( views ) are placed in your app before making changes to navigation menu is the place where you customize your navigation. Below is the default navigation of search & reporting

for example, I want to create new menu (Other) with dropdown. I have a dashboard rowexpanstionjs in views of same app and I want to show this Dashboard under Other menu like Dashboards,Reports, Alerts in search & reporting then

Hi, I am using XP11 with Win10 and I found that the symbol of the rwy is missing in LIMJ with RNP A 10 approach. I already mentioned this topic but I would like to illustrate it once more since it is obviously a technical issue.

I think the first problem is that the RNP A 10 approach to LIMJ is represented in the FMS as RNVA and not RNVA 10. As a result the navigation display shows no rwy symbol

LIMJ RNP A 10 approach chart596701 75.4 KB

LIMJ RNP A 10 ND shows no RWY737795 68 KB

The two other approaches RNP Y18 to LFKC and RNPD 22R to LFMN below where the arrival is also to be done manually with view illustrate how it should be, meaning that the rwy symbol should be shown on the navigation display:

This approach is not assigned to a specific runway in the data, therefore you see only the RNVA ident without a runway. So, my assumption is, that Zibo cant display the runway due the missing runway - but to be sure, you should ask the Zibo dev.

I built a portfolio page with sub-pages. Everything works well, but I want to be able to navigate to each of the sub-pages from the navigation menu at the site header by hovering over the portfolio's link and selecting the sub-page title.

Create a folder on the Nav bar. Then put links to the subpages in the folder. There are some limitations, you can't put a folder in folder. The links would be created using the url slug of those sub pages. Check out my site, I am doing this already with two drop down menus. Just click stories or pictures to get to my main nav bar then you will see the drop down menu "special stories" and "photography lessons". I use these drop downs to get to specific blog posts. I also use summary blocks and single links (not in a folder) for specific posts as well. Folders are created the same way as a new page, and links are too. You drag links into the folder, which is on the nav bar, so they don't appear on the nav bar by themselves.

The link solution doesn't work for me because I don't want one navigation item for the folder and one for the actual portfolio that I built so far. and if I disable the portfolio, then my links don't work. So at this point, I'm trying to find a way to somehow copy my portfolio subpages' content out of them to a new standalone page since that would probably be the easiest.

You can create the folder with sub page links and give them and the folder any name you want, doesn't need to be the same as the portfolio/index page name, so you don't have duplicate names on the nav bar, it is the only real way to create a drop down menu, regardless of where you want to link to. That is what a folder is for. This will explain it, and index pages work like portfolio pages.

Right, but I don't want "Hizmetlerimiz" to show up in the navigation bar above. My understanding is that to do that, I need to disable the page for Hizmetlerimiz portfolio. When I do that, subpages of the portfolio are also inaccessible.

Any page you don't want to show up on the Nav bar, move to the unlinked section of your site. It is still active but can't been seen unless a link takes the viewer there. My blog page is in the unlinked section of my site and links in a folder on my Nav bar are how viewers get to many posts there. In your case your drop down menu, which is created in the linked section so it is on the nav bar and contains the links, will take viewers to any page or sub page you make a link to.

I have a SharePoint 2013 site which has multiple subsites in it. The existing subsites have the quick launch showing on each of the page. I have created new subsite and for this new subsite the current navigation is not showing up. All the subsites are inheriting the same custom master page from the parent site. I have enabled quick launch navigation for the new subsite, but not sure what exactly is happening.

I need a whole reevaluation of all footnotes I have inserted in a large document. Instead of looking at all pages manually, I am keen to know if there is a way to display all footnotes (the text part down the page not the anchor superscript in the context) inside navigator window as a list, the way headings 1, 2, 3, etc. are displayed. I know I can press the up/down arrows above the navigator to move along all footnotes, but this is inconvenient. So, is is possible to tell Navigator to display footnotes?
