Didyou have to tinker with the BIOS or something similar? I'm trying a similar setup with a 2019 Acer (Aspire, not Nitro), but I want to prepare myself in case I need to apply a custom BIOS or something like that.

I was just wondering if I am supposed to put the heatsink on top of the thing, or do I just leave it there? Also, will I be able to unplug the adapter from the m.2 port every so often? It's just because sometimes I have to bring it to some places, and I am not sure if it allows me to. Finally, do I need that adapter, 100 dollars is a bit expensive, do you know any alternatives?

@swayf46180, Hi, I am thinking of doing this with my nitro 5 an515-54 because my internal Nvidia GPU is not working as it should, would I also be able to do it? Or are all models of nitro 5 different I wish to know because I want to see if a GTX 1050 could work my current gpu is 1650.
