The Watkins Chickens will be at Ward 8 Farmers Market, this Saturday at Old Congress Heights School. 500 Alabama SE at Martin Luther King, Jr. 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
These sweet tempered animals were hatched in a DCPS kindergarten as part of a classroom projects. They came home to a DC backyard where they lay delicious eggs. Their owners will talk about the practical and legal challenges of this kind of urban agriculture.
