Thoughts on the 3.x Java driver?

Hi folks - I heard Trisha Gee from Mongodb talking at the recent Yow conference in Australia.

She was talking about the changes they are making for the 3.X release of the Java driver - they basically did an almost complete rewrite, and there are lots of changes that might affect clojure interop: http://blog.mongodb.org/post/58136652766/the-mongodb-java-driver-3-0

Have there been any thoughts/plans about using the new driver (whenever it's actually released!) with CongoMongo?  There are betas out now... or is it better to wait for it to be somewhere closer to a release candidate?
