Paragon offers both free and paid versions of its disk cloning software. (Note that as of around 10 a.m. ET, the site was operating very slowly, perhaps due to heavy traffic. The software will work with any kind of drive migration, even if you're just moving to a larger platter-based drive. It effectively creates an image file of the old drive, then copies that image to the new one. That means you get everything: Windows, applications, settings, data, and so on. I've used similar utilities to move from a HDDs to SSDs, and each time the process went flawlessly. (Keep in mind you may need a USB-to-SATA cable to connect the new drive externally so you can perform the copy.)
Paragon Drive Copy 12 also has the option of copying physical drives to virtual ones (P2V) and back again (V2P), though it's not clear whether this version of the program actually supports virtual drives. Indeed, looking at Paragon's somewhat outdated product page (it still reflects a similar BitsDuJour deal from last May), there's some discrepancy in the software's features. Although the initial description mentions "wide migration options," including support for P2V and V2V, when you scroll down to the comparison chart between the Compact and Professional versions, it appears that only the latter supports V2V and V2P.
If you're planning a drive migration, either now or in the future, this is probably a utility worth snagging. There's no registration code to worry about; the version you download is unlocked and ready to roll.
I am attempting to read a WD 1TB drive with the Paragon driver installed. The drive is using only about 10% capacity. My windows 7 machine seems to run out of system resources to read this drive. Then Paragon extfs crashes. Anybody else experience this?
I am desperate to recover some 40+ recordings from a drive which Tablo no longer recognizes. It seems a coincidence that this occurs the moment I installed the latest firmware from Tablo. Anybody care to comment?
I installed the paragon drivers so I could migrate my data from one hdd to another. Everything is working fine in that regard. However, when I installed the drivers, my Logitech mouse and keyboard both immediately began to act up. Anyone else dealing with this issue? Any known solutions? Once the data has been fully migrated, I plan to uninstall the drivers. I hope that will fix the problem.
At some time there had to be a 3rd party app involved. And it may have been still running in the background. Or it had been running and filled up much of the disk a long time ago. That would probably be easy to determine based on the files time stamp plus the actual date of the recording.
Create exact disk copies, including all data and active applications!

After removing the PCIe SSD controller card fromthe DL 360 G8 and placing it in an HP Elite 8300 PC, I used Paragon Drive Copy Professional to copy the contents of the PCIe SSD Mirrored drive array (on the card) and imaged it over to a single 500GB WD HDD (2.5" SATA).
I then used Paragon Drive Copy Professional and was success in booting to the Paragon Drive Copy Professional WinPE screen of the application and imaged the 500GB Windows 2019 OS over to onto the two-300GB SAS mirrored drives.
THE LESSON HERE IS: THE DL360 G7 AND G8s do not like any kind of additional PCIe SSD cards - and their presence in the DL360 Gx sys causes fails in bootingto not only the PCIe card but to USB devices as well.
Since this is a factory refurb unit I also have no access to downloading a BIOS update (at least none I could find). If your P68 is newer (08/16/2015) and you know of a download link that may solve this problem, I would greatly appreciate a link.
In my original scenario my client has G7's. I bought a G8 to see if I could reproduce his problems, which I could -- and I thought if I found the answer to one (a G8), I could apply it to the other (a G7) -- apparently not.
-- Well i looked -- but could not find anything on my G8 remotely similar to your BIOS Option Load. Above is the screenshot of the typical "hang" when the Slot1 is chosen for a boot point. Just an FYI
I was able to get a similar model (ML380 G8) that had similar issue not being able to boot off SSD with a BIOS (non UEFI capable) that also did not have the ability to selectively load option card devices first despite latest BIOS available (2019).
The caveat is that the nvme SSD is not bootable, but the SATA SSD (2nd SSD on the same PCIe card with SATA cable plugging into embedded mobo SATA port) was able to be booted from when using the HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i RAID Controller to create a RAID 0 single-disk array on the SATA SSD and then marking the logical drive as bootable.
I have both Windows 10 and Windows 11. I have been using Paragon Backup & Recovery software for about a little over a month now. Because the new feature release is coming out soon for both Win 10 & 11. I would like to be prepared. However I have only had my laptop for about a month now and it has Win 11 Home on it. How do I take an image backup of my HD using Paragon? Does this process take a while? Do I really need to do a full image backup?
Another question: Is it possible to copy my current C: drive (in my laptop) as in an image backup using Paragon Backup & Recovery software onto an external HD? I already have a Recovery USB for both my desktop and laptop.
Why do you want a copy of C? Are you thinking of using a clone to slot in if you have a show stopper on the existing?
I always make images because they are much smaller, more flexible and can be restored anywhere (I use VMs for testing).
